Enemies

There they stood opposite each other, eyes glaring with cold revenge. They had been enemies for more than hundred years and even for pickticks it was a long time. Nobody really remembered how it started but for pickticks it was a normal thing. They were too small for complex emotions. Usually they had one emotions for each thing or person. You should see how they love each other. It is pure love not like humans'. 

So, there they stood and waited for opponent to pick out the toothpick first. You see for pickticks there is nothing worse than attack someone without the purpose to defend themselves. However, once they get into this vulnerable position of selfdefence, may all Gods be in your favour. You won't get out alive, most likely.
