Charlie was in the fantasy section again. Currently he had
found a new book about superheroes and was flipping through the pages as if
trying to reassure himself that it is worth buying. Charlie almost existed only
in the fantasy world. He played various fantasy online games and was a master
in them. However, in real life Charlie was a broke student of economics who
wore the same superhero T-shirt for months and carried his things around in an
old, cracked paper bag from the shop that does not exist anymore. Today he is
happy skimming through the pages of the book and becoming excited about the
adventure that awaits him. He will buy this book even if that means that he
will have to skip yet another couple of meals.
A few rows further in the same bookshop there was Lucy,
agitatedly running through the messages in her phone. She was not sure that she
is in the right bookshop. She didn't know many bookshops, she was not really
into reading, but Jeremy had asked her out and set their meeting place here.
She was trying to go out with him for ages, but he didn't seem to notice her at
all. Even though she was one of the most attractive girls in the group. Luckily,
they were put together on a project by Mr Shanigan. Now she had a real chance.
She found the message from Jeremy and calmed down a bit - she was in the right
spot.
Harry pulled his suitcase behind him and walked slowly
towards his hostel. It was very cold, despite the fact that he had listened to
his aunt for the first time ever and wore a winter hat and a coat. This was his
first time in London, and it seemed that everyone is running somewhere. He
clearly stood out with his slow pace and bewildered gaze. 10 meters behind him
a bald man in a black coat and red sneakers tried his best not to lose the
sight of him. He had been following Harry from the airport.
Sally stood in the bus stop and felt like something heavy
was crushing her chest. He stood her up... again... She was so close to tears
that it was hard to breath. She didn't see anything around her. She just kept
questioning herself, doubting herself and at the same time trying to switch her
focus on something else in order not to cry in public.
Amy was clutching her blue sleeping bag and nervously nibbling
on the seam. It was her first time away from family for the whole weekend. She
was never invited to sleepovers and she wasn't sure if she had everything she
needed. All the popular girls will be there, and she was a little bit paranoid
because in the old school they used to bully her in horrible ways, like
pretending to be your friend and then spilling all your secrets to the whole
school. These girls seemed different, but Amy could not really trust them.
